On November 26, 2016 Belmopan Active Youth hosted its second annual BAY Art Fest. The event was held at the Belmopan Comprehensive High School basketball court in Belmopan City. This year the Founder & President of BAY, Anna Banner-Guy, allowed the artist to help form the event committee.
It was a great learning experience for Visual by Glenn Patrick. We got see see what it takes to put such an event together and how the artists could help to make the event more artist friendly. Many great ideas were formulated by the artists who joined the committee with the guidance of Ms. Banner. We also got the opportunity to create and handle the Bay Art Fest Facebook page and create the flier and social media designs for the event.
Artists from around the country participated this year and just like the year before, it was an exhilarating experience! Got to see some of the past artists again and meet new ones and create new friendships. And just as before the public got to see our work as we interacted with them and sold our products. Two art forms worth mentioning are the graffiti arts by Elvis Eddie Aldana (Eddz Graffiti) and paper arts by Peter C Aragon (Ion Art).
